A machine relocation is rarely just a transport problem: the plant has to be properly disconnected, moved safely, reassembled at the new site and put back into operation after testing. We take on exactly this chain of tasks – from the single unit to the complete production line.

The process in detail

It starts with planning the sequence of work: the order of dismantling, transport routes, installation areas and the equipment required at the destination. We then take care of dismantling, relocation and recommissioning. In retrofit projects we modernise existing plant and return it to productive operation instead of replacing it.

Electrical equipment is tested to DGUV V3 as part of the installation. This ensures that plant can be put into operation safely and in accordance with the regulations after relocation or conversion – the evidence you have to provide as the operator to the employers' liability insurance association and your insurer. Our own equipment and mobile elevating work platforms also make work at height possible.

Suitable components and materials

The scope of services ranges from the single unit to the complete production line. For transport, our own vehicle fleet is available for large parts up to 15 m in length and 28 t; if machinery has to be placed in interim storage, we use our own areas for this. A relocation can therefore also be handled when moving out and moving in do not coincide in time.

Transport and interim storage can be covered directly via our vehicle fleet and our own storage areas. If a machine is standing idle anyway, the occasion can be used sensibly: dismantled assemblies and operating equipment can be cleaned or stripped of paint at the same time, for example by thermal cleaning or dry ice blasting, before the plant is reassembled at the new site.

Quality assurance and documentation

Here safety is not a measured value at the surface but a piece of evidence: electrical testing to DGUV V3 documents that the equipment may be operated in accordance with the regulations after relocation or conversion. As the operator, you need this evidence regardless of whether a plant has been newly installed, relocated or converted.

In addition, we record the condition of the plant before dismantling so that wear and transport damage can be distinguished later, and we coordinate recommissioning with your maintenance department. Because a machine relocation usually falls within a tight production window, we plan the sequence of work, transport routes and installation areas together with you in advance – this usually has a greater influence on downtime than the actual installation work.
